Red Velvet Cake Balls

Bit of a step back in time, but for my Dad's birthday in August, I made him some Red Velvet Cake Balls. This was the first time I'd made them but definitely not the last. They are sublime. You make them by cooking your cake (doesn't matter what flavour), crumbling up the cooked cake and mixing it with the icing. You then roll into balls and the tricky part is dipping them in chocolate. Here, I've used Red Velvet Cake, Cream Cheese icing, alternated between white and dark chocolate, and decorated by dipping a skewer in melted choc. We decorated an egg carton to box the balls in Dad's favourtite footy colours.
