Sweets Table
I made the tissue paper pom poms from a Martha Stewart tutorial & the name across the front was made from an old book and a glue gun. The talented Renee Bell from NFE Design took the photo in the background when Olive was a week old. The sweets that took me the longest and that I was most happy with, were the ice cream cone cake pops at the back of the table. They are also the only sweet I didn't get an individual photo of!
Olive's birthday cake was a pink vanilla layer cake with whipped vanilla bean butter cream icing. I made the layers a week in advance and froze them which made it easier to frost the day before the party. I had no idea if the cake would work until it was cut and was stunned that it actually did. I made the tiny bunting on top with skewers and ribbon.
